HOLD Opens Debut Self Storage Site in Kings Cross and Plans Four More in London By 2025

HOLD Storage today announces the opening of its first site in the heart of Kings Cross offering 56,000 square feet of lettable space. This marks the first of five sites that the company plans to open across the capital before the end of 2025, to address the critical space shortage faced by London’s residents and businesses.

HOLD plans to disrupt the self-storage market with a fresh approach to customer experience that blends cutting-edge technology with a highly personal on-site service to meet the expectations of the modern consumer. As part of the launch, HOLD is offering households and businesses complimentary Zipcar memberships, a free driving credit and discounted rates.*

The Kings Cross site is located on York Way, adjacent to the St Pancras and Kings Cross rail terminals, and offers a comprehensive range of services from convenient lockers to spacious 350 square-feet units, catering to local residents and businesses alike.

Cutting-edge technology planned for the site in 2024 will also be rolled out across future locations. This will include augmented reality overlays of unit sizes to a real-world setting, app-controlled unit access, electronic locks, facial recognition, enhanced security measures and other customer-focused features underpinned by a best-in-class technology stack with advanced AI and data capabilities.
