Self storage company Space Station has announced the latest step in expanding its UK operations with the opening of a new facility in Daventry.
The recently announced store has a significant 28,500 square feet of storage space for local customers and businesses, with various sized individual units available to rent.
After securing the purchase of the Daventry location from Squab Storage and Removals, the doors to Space Station’s newest store are now officially open for business, with a full site rebrand set to be completed later this year.
The acquisition has created three new jobs, employing a Store Manager, a Duty Manager and a Customer Sales Advisor.
The storage units are equipped with an extensive security system, with access to individually alarmed and PIN coded units for each customer. All storage units are available to rent.
Space Station has also joined with a removal company and rents include a free removal service direct to the unit.
The store is fitted with 24/7 CCTV surveillance and has a secure, gated car park with number plate recognition for all customers, as well as an onsite packaging shop, where customers can buy boxes, bubble wrap and tape to protect their belongings in transit.
Space Station’s CEO Kevin Prince said: “We are very excited to be opening our newest self storage facility in Daventry. Having recently expanded our new store in Solihull and with the addition of Shrewsbury to our portfolio earlier this year, we are progressing well with our planned expansion programme.
“Daventry is our 12th site in the UK, and offers a premium self storage solution to individuals and businesses across the East Midlands.
“Our stores provide our customers with access to highly secure storage units, which are monitored by round the clock CCTV. Our onsite staff cater to people’s varying needs, whilst offering a range of other accompanying services; making the process of using self storage as easy as possible.”
