Former Luxury Gym to Transform into Self-Storage Facility in Stoke-on-Trent (England)

A storage facility has launched at the site of a former luxury gym. Work has been ongoing to completely transform the one-time Esporta on Festival Park – which once boasted a pool, sauna, steam room and stylish eatery.

It’s now home to Sure Store which has added another base to its Staffordshire portfolio. It marks a fresh chapter for the building after previously running as a members-only gym.

It had been Esporta before closing back in July 2011. It was then taken over by entrepreneur Mo Chaudry where it was reopened as M Club Spa and Fitness.

That gym then moved down to the WaterWorld site where the £12 million facility opened up in October 2021. The Festival Heights building is now providing storage units after a project was carried out to transform the site.

Sure Store has other Staffordshire branches in Stafford and Burton. The self-storage units at the new Potteries base range in size from 10sq ft to 200sq ft and according to the firm ‘capable of storing anything from a few boxes to the entire contents of a five-bedroom property.’
