The UK-based Container Self-Storage and Traders Association (CSTA) has published its first census on activity in the self-storage industry. Focused on the UK, the report revealed that at the end of 2021 some 572 companies were active across what the CSTA described as 978 “properly defined and/or dedicated sites”. Safestore Holdings PLC said Thursday that it’s fiscal 2022 first-quarter revenue and closing occupancy increased thanks to a strong performance in the U.K., complemented by good results from Paris and Spain.
