Shurgard Acquisition In Chadwell Heath

Kemsley LLP is proud to announce Shurgard’s latest site acquisition for a self-storage facility in, Chadwell Heath, East London.

The 1-acre site was acquired directly from Emerson Crane Hire, the former owners, and planning was obtained to provide for a six-storey self-storage facility fronting Freshwater Road.

Kemsley was instrumental in sourcing this off-market site which takes Shurgard’s existing UK estate to 42 stores.

Having successfully completed this purchase, we are keen to acquire more for Shurgard across North East and North West London, whereas Lookout Development Partnership is also fully retained to acquire sites in South East and South West London. Shurgard’s requirements are as follows:

  • Existing buildings where it is possible to create 80,000+ sq. ft
  • Sites of 0.5+ acres
  • Mixed-use opportunities
  • Located within the M25
  • Freehold or long leasehold only
