Preston Church Plans To Convert Part Of Its Building Into A Retail And Storage Facility

The Potters House church off Garstang Road has plans to convert part of its building into a retail and self-storage facility.

The planning application for a change of use of the first floor from place of worship (Class F1) to retail/storage (Class E/Class B8) at 21 Garstang Road was registered on August 3, 2022, to Preston City Council.

Pastor Colin Mclaren said: “The ground floor of the premises is currently used for selling paint & decorating equipment. The first floor is currently used for our church D1.”

The proposed hours for both the shops and storage area from Monday to Friday are 7 am to 5 pm and on Saturday 8 am to 4 pm.

The site has a total number of 15 car parking spaces which will remain after the new development.
